Does LateXTree compile LaTeX locally?

Yes. LateXTree includes a sandboxed Tectonic engine and compiles the selected .tex file on your Mac. Your project can include local class, style, bibliography, image, and other LaTeX resources.

Can I connect an Overleaf project?

Yes. Paste the project URL you use in your browser and LateXTree converts it to the Git endpoint. Your Git token is stored in macOS Keychain and reused across projects. Overleaf Git access depends on your Overleaf plan and project permissions.

Can I manage BibTeX references?

Yes. Open a .bib file to browse, group, search, add, and edit references. You can always switch back to the underlying BibTeX source.

Can I use custom templates and multi-file projects?

Yes. LateXTree works with complete project folders, including included TeX sources, custom .cls and .sty files, BibTeX databases, and images. Any TeX file can be selected as the active compilation entry point.

Where are my projects stored?

You choose the project folder. It can remain local or, with Pro, live in an iCloud Drive folder. LateXTree works with ordinary files that remain accessible from Finder and other tools.
